BUDGAM, AUGUST 06: Principal Secretary, Power Development department (PDD), H Rajesh Prasad today chaired a Public Darbar at Khanshaib here to address various issues and grievances of the general public.
The Darbar saw participation of public from Khanshaib, Arigam, Asthan Mohalla, Waterhail, Shinnipora and other areas of sub-division Khansahib.
On the occasion, the locals raised various issues spanning several sectors before the Principal Secretary.
While interacting with locals, the Principal Secretary assured them that all of their genuine demands and grievances would be addressed.
He noted that some issues would be taken up at the Secretariat level as well.
During the interaction, the Principal Secretary called upon the officers for 100 percent saturation of Government schemes.
The Principal Secretary highlighted that various reforms have been initiated in power sector from last several years, adding that investments have been made to enhance the power infrastructure, including setting up grid stations, receiving stations, transformers, and power line networks besides a significant amount has been sanctioned for replacement of poles and wires with superior insulated power cables.
He emphasised on the need to reduce power losses in Jammu and Kashmir.
Among others, Deputy Commissioner Budgam, ADDC Budgam, CPO, PO ICDS, ACD, CEO, CPO, district and sectoral officers and large number of locals were also present during the darbar.
