_In the loving memory of Police Martyrs…._  Police organises plantation drive in Ganderbal, Pulwama

*August 06:* “`Under the theme, “Ek Paed Shahedoun Ke Naam” Police in Ganderbal & Pulwama organised plantation drives at various government schools across their respective districts.

In Ganderbal, the drive was organized on the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Sandeep Gupta-IPS & under the supervision of DySP DAR DPL Ganderbal alongwith Sindh Forest Division Ganderbal. The drive was held at Govt. Middle School Safapora, Govt. Middle School Gulabpora Potermulla & Govt. Primary School Choudhary-Bagh Chount-Waliwar. On the said occasion, DySP DAR DPL Ganderbal, NOKs of J&K Police Martyrs, Police officers, Officials of Forest Department & School Students participated whole-heartedly.

In Pulwama, the drive was inaugurated by SSP Pulwama Smt P.D. Nitya-IPS in collaboration with the Forest Division Pulwama. The drive was held at different Govt schools and play grounds of the district Pulwama. During the drive, DySP DAR Pulwama, family members of police martyrs, and other officers/officials of Pulwama Police and Forest Division Pulwama participated.

The main aim behind such plantation drives is to get at least one tree planted in the name of J&K Police Martyrs and to memorize their sacrifices in line of duty. Besides, to promote awareness, importance and community engagement in understanding environmental ethics and role of Police and Public in upliftment of Nation and Natural resources.“`
