DODA AUGUST 05: As a part of Swachhta Pakhwada “Shuchita Sangram” campaign, a special cleanliness drive is going on across all schools of Doda district.
During the cleanliness drive, various Government school buildings, Office premises, Parks, Panchayat Ghars, tourist places and other public places shall be cleaned and garbage shall be removed from road sides besides awareness shall be raised among masses about the importance of cleanliness.
Today Special focus was laid on the cleanliness of water bodies and removal of waste from road sides.
Meanwhile, the Chief Education Officer Doda Parkash Lal Thapa has called for conducting special cleanliness and sanitation drives in all school playgrounds, market areas, public places, tourists places with focus on water spring points, Water bodies as part of ongoing Safai Abhiyan (Swachhta Pakhwada) with due participation of all stakeholders especially the teachers and students.
He also said that this cleanliness drive is only a symbolic one and called upon the people to make cleanliness a habit and part of their daily lifestyle.
The Swachhta Pakhwada is being celebrated from 1st of August to 15th of August 2024.
