SRINAGAR, AUGUST 04: As part of Independence Day Celebrations Govt College of Education (IASE) organized National Anthem singing competition & other events.
Students from different courses enthusiastically participated in this singing competition while songs related to the Indian freedom struggle were also sung by several students. The competition was monitored by Prof. Gurmeet Kour (Former Faculty members IASE Srinagar), Dr. Irfat Ara Khan (Convener Cultural Committee), Prof. Nahida (Co-Convener Cultural Committee) and Ms. Daljeet Kour (Member of Cultural Committee) thus ensuring smooth completion of the competition.
The first position of the competition was secured by Mohammad Shafi, in-service student of B. Ed 4th semester; second position was secured by Mudasir Kaboo, in-service student of B. Ed 4th semester and 3rd position was secured by Nidah Masood student of M.Ed 3rd semester.
After that patriotic songs were sung by the various students of the college and National Anthem was sung by all the faculty members, non-teaching staff and students.
On the occasion, Principal of the college Prof. (Dr) Seema Naz, highlighted the importance of such events & also spoke about the programmes to be conducted in view of celebration of 77th National Independence Day.
She thanked the participants for their enthusiastic participation & also appreciated the cultural committee of the college for organizing a series of activities.
The whole session was moderated by Dr. Tawheeda Rasool (Assistant Professor HoD Mathematics).
