Police inaugurates “Kupwara Police Sports Meet for Specially Abled Persons” at DPL ground Kupwara
August 03: The inauguration of the “Kupwara Police Sports Meet for Specially Abled Persons” was held at DPL Ground Kupwara, today. This event is part of the Civic Action Programme 2024 and aims to promote inclusiveness and recognize the talent of differently-abled individuals in our society.
The sports meet features a series of events, including indoor games such as Carrom, Chess, and Ludo, as well as outdoor games like Badminton and Cricket. The meet commenced today with competitions in Carrom, Chess, and Ludo. Participants in these competitions were selected from across the district and represent various special abilities.
The inaugural and prize distribution ceremonies saw presence of DySP Kupwara Shri Amin Bhat (JKPS), DySP DAR Kupwara Shri Syed Mujahid-Ul-Haq (JKPS), DySP Hqrs Kupwara Shri Mohd. Rafee Rather (JKPS) along with other officers and officials of District Police Kupwara. The officers distributed Trophies, cash prizes, and certificates among the participants.
Additionally, Police Station Trehgam organized a Volleyball Tournament for the local youth under CAP-2024 which was attended by DySP Hqrs Kupwara and SHO PS Trehgam.“`
