Bandipora:- The Municipal Committee (MC) Hajin observed Swachhta Pakhwada on Thursday, under the theme “Suchita Sangram” in Hajin town. The rally was inaugurated by former MC Chairman Hajin Irshad Ahmad Wani.
The Government of India announced the 15-day program, which began on 1st August and will conclude on 15th August 2024.
The main aim of the program is to promote hygiene and cleanliness and instill a sense of civic duty among the citizens in the town.
During the event, the official emphasized the need for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the surroundings, highlighting the benefits of a clean and healthy environment and the importance of adopting good sanitation practices.
He also administered the Swachhata pledge to students to motivate them to participate in cleanliness activities.
A cleanliness drive led by the officials of MC Hajin was also conducted in the lawns of the CHC Hajin and higher secondary school Hajin.
The programme was attended by President Auqaf Islamia Hajin, President Traders Federation Hajin, President Sumo Stand Hajin, students of Degree College Hajin, and employees of MC Hajin. .
