Gen Malik pointed out that India now has superior surveillance technology, which plays a crucial role in monitoring and securing borders. This advancement has greatly reduced the chances of infiltration.

The former Army Chief mentioned the substantial upgrades in the weapon systems available to the Indian military. These modern arms provide a significant edge in defense and combat operations.

Acknowledging the progress in infrastructure, Gen Malik explained that better roads, communication systems, and logistical support are instrumental in maintaining a robust defense posture.

This development facilitates quicker mobilization and effective response during conflicts.

Gen Malik contrasted these improvements with the situation during the Kargil War, where some weaknesses allowed Pakistani forces to enter Indian territory.

He expressed confidence that the current advancements would prevent similar incursions and enhance India’s defensive and offensive capabilities.(Kashmir Scroll)
