LG Sinha Praises Gender Equality at IUST Convocation

Awantipora, 25 July: LG Manoj Sinha commended the Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST) for its gender equality, highlighting that 22 of 27 gold medalists were girls.

He acknowledged IUST’s achievements during his address at the convocation ceremony.

In his address at the convocation ceremony of the Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST), Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha underscored the university’s commitment to gender equality and the importance of innovation in education.

He lauded the fact that 22 out of the 27 gold medalists were female students, recognizing this as a testament to the institution’s progressive stance on gender equality.

Sinha emphasized the necessity for students to continuously innovate to address local challenges and contribute to the nation’s future. He also noted the substantial transformations occurring in Jammu and Kashmir’s education sector, expressing confidence that IUST would continue to be a leading source of knowledge and innovation in the Union Territory.
