Poonch, 23 July 2024 – Mohd Ashfaq son of Abdul Majid Malik and resident of Seri Khawaja has been selected for the trials of the 8th National Pencak Silat Federation Cup 2024-25. The trials are set to take place at the Gindum Sports Stadium in Srinagar.
Ashfaq’s journey to this achievement has been guided by Pervaiz Ahmed Malik Rek and Manzoor Ahmed Rek both esteemed Physical Teachers in the Surenkote zone. Their dedicated training and mentorship have been instrumental in his selection.
This accomplishment is a significant milestone for Ashfaq and a proud moment for the entire Poonch community. The upcoming trials will be a crucial step for Ashfaq as he aims to showcase his skills and secure his place in the prestigious Pencak Silat Federation Cup.
The Pencak Silat Association of J&K led by General Secretary President and Chairman is doing excellent work. Prof. Mohd Iqbal head of the State Pencak Silat Association of J&K is excelling in promoting the sport in the state.
