Srinagar, July 22 :- A youth from Sopore drowned in a Lidder in Pahalgam area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday.
An official told that a 21 year old male namely Basit Ahmad Bhat son of Gh Rasool Bhat R/o Sopore has drowned in Lidder Nala near Langalbal Pahalgam while bathing.
He said that he was rescued by the NDRF team and was taken to the sub district hospital Pahalgam where he succumbed.
Meanwhile further proceedings in this regard have been taken up.(KS)
