SRINAGAR, JULY 18: Mission Director, NHM, Nazim Zai Khan, felicitated 13 Medical Officers of Kashmir Division for completing 6 months online training in Community Mental Health Programme by NIMHANS Bengaluru.
Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather besides other senior officers were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Mission Director said that J&K has one psychiatrist for every 2 lakh population mostly available in the Medical College Hospitals of Jammu & Srinagar. Nazim Zai, while complimenting the doctors, emphasized that their knowledge, skills and compassion will continue to serve as beacons of hope for those in need of mental health support.
Pertinently, 25 Medical Officers have successfully completed the course who have been deployed by the concerned Directorate of Health Services at district level for implementation of DMHP and addiction treatment services in various health institutions.
