KARNAH: Shah Muhammad, the Zonal Education Officer of Tangdar/Chamkot, chaired an extraordinary meeting with the Lambardars and Chowkidars of Karnah. The meeting focused on discussing various issues related to the educational scenario of the region.

During the meeting, Shah Muhammad emphasized the importance of stakeholder involvement in achieving the dream of better education in the region. He stated that education must be given high priority in the development agenda, with the Department of Education playing a crucial role. He stressed that society’s support is essential in this endeavor. “Civil society helps in formulating education policies, monitoring programs, and holding governments accountable for fulfilling the right to education,” he said.

Addressing the chiefs and civil society representatives from across the region, Shah Muhammad highlighted their moral responsibility to oversee the functioning of educational institutions. He underscored the need to implement various measures under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 to achieve the desired goals. He pointed out that parents and other society representatives need to be more involved, as it has often been observed that parents only visit schools during admissions or final results. He urged parents to maintain regular coordination with the department to improve their children’s future. Shah Muhammad emphasized that parents’ consistent interest and involvement play a crucial role in uplifting the education system.

The meeting concluded with a firm commitment from all stakeholders to take necessary steps for the improvement of the education sector in the area. The Lambardars and Chowkidars assured Shah Muhammad of their full support in bettering the future of the children and the education system.
