Directs to redouble efforts & ensure time-bound execution of the works
BANDIPORA, JULY 05: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora, Shakeel ul Rehman on Friday convened a review meeting at Mini Secretariat to assess the progress achieved under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the District.
The Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) J&K, Dr. G.N. Itoo also joined the meeting through online mode.
The meeting discussed the status of ongoing projects, physical progress, and challenges being faced during implementation.
It was revealed that, out of 120 schemes under JJM, 33 schemes are completed, 36 schemes are nearing completion, in 41 schemes 75 percent work is completed and work is going-on in full swing in all other schemes.
It was informed that 85.74 percent households have been provided functional Tap Water Connections (FHHTCs).
It was also given out that out of 37 allotted works of Rapid Sand Filtration Plants, 11 stand completed, 22 are nearing completion, and work is going on at full pace in other works.
Out of 151 allotted works of pipe network, 75 works have been completed, and work is in progress in others.
The DDC was apprised, that in PHE Sub Division Sumbal, 100 percent physical progress has been achieved in WSS Zonipora Asham, WSS Hajin Ghat, WSS Shukurdin Shahgund and Migrant Colony Odina besides 09 water supply schemes are expected to be completed during this month.
Ex. Engineer SSD Gurez informed that out of 25 works in Gurez Sub Division, 12 stands completed, 09 are nearing completion, and work is going on with full pace in others also.
After reviewing the work wise progress of schemes, the DDC asked the concerned officers of Jal Shakti Department to expedite the completion process of schemes and emphasized the collaborative efforts among all stakeholders to accelerate all JJM works
He directed the executing agency to implement robust monitoring mechanisms to track project progress, address bottlenecks, and ensure timely completion of schemes
Emphasising the role of JJM in enhancing quality of life in rural areas, the DDC asked the concerned agencies and department to redouble efforts and ensure the time-bound execution of the works.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Mohammad Ashraf Bhatt, ACD Irfan Bahadur, CPO, CEO, CMO, DSWO, DIO, Executive Engineers of PHE Bandipora, PHE Sopore, PHE Mechanical North Bla/Bpr, and PO DPMU Bandipora.
Executive Engineer SSD Gurez and other concerned attended the meeting through virtual mode.
