Sopore police organized awareness programme regarding “Drug  abuse and illicit trafficking” at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Sopore

Sopore Police today organised a seminar cum debate program against drug abuse and illicit trafficking at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Sopore, in which students from Degree Colleges, Higher Secondary Schools and High Schools participated.

Participants highlighted the drug addiction scenario in the society and its various preventive measures and briefly threw light on the methods of de-addiction.

On the occasion SP Sopore Smt. Divya D-IPS sought the co-operation of people in eradicating the biggest social evil prevailing in the society. She also stated that Sopore Police is always available for helping the victims of drug abuse and is making all possible efforts to help and rehabilitate those affected persons.

She also stated that all efforts are being made to establish a Drug deaddiction/rehabilitation centre at Sopore at the earliest.

The participants were also rewarded at the end.

DySP DAR Sopore Shri. Dr. Hilal Ahmad Hilal-JKPS, DySP (ops) Wadoora Shri. Khursheed Rasool were also present at the occasion.
