Police organizes 01-day workshop on awareness of new Criminal Laws at Kashmir University

*June 28:* “`Police in Srinagar organized one day workshop on the awareness of New Criminal Laws at Ibni-Khaldoon Auditorium Hall, Kashmir University Srinagar under Civic Action Programme.

The event was attended by more than 200 students and the faculty members of Kashmir University including Registrar Kashmir University Srinagar Dr. Naseer Iqbal, Head and Dean School of Law Kashmir University Professor Shri Mohammad Hussain & Police officers including SP City Hazratbal Zone Srinagar Shri Hilal Khaliq Bhat-JKPS.

On the occasion, SDPO Zakura Shri Ashiq Hussain-JKPS delivered a lecture on New Criminal Laws and the impact of these laws to revamp the Indian Criminal Justice System. Further ground discussions were held and insights on the provision of New Criminal Laws, their implementation/ Practice to bring Indian Criminal System in line with modern era by increasing its effectiveness.

The faculty staff and students appreciated the efforts of Srinagar Police for organizing the workshop.“`
