Takes stock of arrangements for their smooth arrival
BUDGAM, JUNE 23: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo along with SSP Budgam, Nikhil Borkar received the first batch of 320 Hajj pilgrims at Srinagar International Airport from Saudi Arabia.
The DC was also accompanied by Director Airport Authority, Srinagar, ADDC Budgam and Hajj Authorities.
He extended his greetings to the pilgrims on their return from holy pilgrimage.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that all arrangements have been put in place for smooth and seamless arrival of pilgrims.
Taking stock of arrangements, he exhorted upon the deputed officers to ensure comfortable movement of pilgrims towards their respective places from airport.
He said that special passes are being provided to the attendants/ family members coming to receive pilgrims at Srinagar Airport.
As many as 6802 pilgrims from J&K UT had departed from Srinagar Airport to attend Hajj Pilgrimage 2024 in Saudi Arabia.
