In a bid to promote holistic well-being and foster camaraderie, the Indian Army organized vibrant celebrations for International Yoga Day at two significant venues near the Line of Control (LoC) in Teethwal, Karnah. The event, held at the Azmat E Hind Ground and the Teethwal Cricket Ground, was jointly organized with the Youth Services and Sports Department, attracting enthusiastic participation from locals and military personnel alike.

The serene and picturesque setting of the Azmat E Hind Ground provided the perfect backdrop for the morning yoga session, where soldiers and civilians came together to embrace the physical and spiritual benefits of yoga. The session commenced with traditional chants and invocations, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and mindfulness.

A senior officer from Shakti Vijay Brigade Tangdar overseeing the event, emphasized the importance of yoga in maintaining both physical fitness and mental resilience, particularly in the challenging terrain of the LoC. “Yoga not only enhances flexibility and strength but also fosters mental clarity and emotional balance,” he remarked, highlighting its relevance in the lives of soldiers stationed in such demanding environments.

Simultaneously, at the Teethwal Cricket Ground, the Youth Services and Sports Department organized a parallel yoga session that saw enthusiastic participation from local youth and residents. The event aimed to introduce yoga as a daily practice for promoting overall health and well-being among the community members.

Speaking on the occasion
a local youth leader, expressed gratitude towards the Indian Army and the Youth Services and Sports Department for organizing such an enriching event. “Yoga is a treasure trove of ancient wisdom that benefits people of all ages. Today’s event not only brought us together but also inspired us to prioritize our health and fitness,” he shared enthusiastically.

The celebrations concluded with participants exchanging warm greetings and pledging to incorporate yoga into their daily routines. The event underscored the power of yoga in fostering unity and well-being, transcending boundaries and fostering a sense of community amidst the serene backdrop of Teethwal, Karnah.
