Srinagar, 09 Jun 2024. On the occasion of “Kargil Rajat Jayanti Mahotsav”, the Chinar Warriors organised a felicitation ceremony to pay tribute to the brave soldiers who adorned history with their valour during Operation VIJAY.
As part of commemoration, Chinar Corps Commander flagged in the bike rally of valiant soldiers who participated in Operation VIJAY, at revered Genral Bipin Rawat Stadium. Embarking on symbolic journey, the bike rally had started on 07 Jun 24 from bustling streets of Chandigarh traversing through Udhampur, Srinagar, Baramulla and will continue its journey to Kargil.
It was an important milestone for the Himalayan Brigade as it takes immense pride in its glorious history including the battles fought at Mushkoh valley during Op VIJAY. Amidst heartfelt emotions, the families and next of kin of the fallen heroes were felicitated by the chief guest to commemorate the brave hearts of the formation who gallantly fought the enemy against the odds of weather and terrain.
A mesmerizing exhibition of equipment and weaponry as part of ‘Know Your Army’ Mela was organised by the Baramulla Rashtriya Rifles which further commemorated the noble spirit of the Indian Army, captivating the youth and fostering a sense of national pride and unity.
