Police cracks theft case in Baramulla, 1 arrested Stolen property recovered

Baramulla, May 29: Police in Baramulla have solved a theft case by arresting 1 accused person and recovered stolen property from his possession.

PS Uri received a written application from Shakeel Ahmad Parray resident of Garkote Uri stating therein that during the intervening night of 22 April 2024 some unknown thieves have entered into his house and took away cash and golden items. On the receipt of this complaint, case FIR under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Uri and the investigation was taken up.

During the course of investigation, many suspects were questioned and during questioning, one suspected person namely Imran Ahmad Parray son of Ghulam Qadir resident of Balkote Uri confessed his involvement in the commission of crime.

On his disclosure, stolen golden rings 7, golden ear ring 1, mobile phone 1 and cash 20 K was recovered. The accused has been arrested.

Further investigation is going on.
