Polling Staff Commend Karnah Administration for Smooth Election Preparations.

Karnah, 19 May 2024: The polling staff deployed for the upcoming election in Karnah on 20th May have lauded the efforts of the local administration for their meticulous preparations. Today, an early counter was set up to facilitate the distribution of election materials, ensuring that the polling staff did not face any difficulties. All 75 polling parties have been dispatched with the requisite election materials, including voting machines and security components.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) and Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) of Karnah, Mohd Zaffar Lone, accompanied by Zonal Magistrate Mohd Amin Bhat and ZEO Tangdar Shah Mohammad, conducted personal inspection of several special polling stations to ensure that all arrangements were in place. The inspected stations included: 2-Kadhama:Youth Managed Polling Station
30-Kandi Payeen:Pink Polling Station 39-Gundisharth:PWD Manned Polling Station
36-Teetwal:Green Polling Station 1-Seemarii 75-Jabdi: Unique Polling Station

Notably, at the Teetwal Green Polling Station, which aims to revolutionize the focus on overcoming environmental challenges, a plantation drive was initiated on 18th May by nodal officer for media Ms. Sapna Kotwal, with many plants being planted around the higher secondary school. Additionally, a stall showcasing local Pahari culture has been set up, adding a cultural touch to the electoral process.

The efficient and well-organized efforts of the Karnah administration have been highly appreciated by the polling staff, ensuring a smooth and trouble-free voting day for the Baramulla Constituency.
