ANANTNAG, MAY 17: In a bid to boost voter turnout, the District Election Office Anantnag, with support from the Chief Electoral Office of J&K, organised a theatre series titled ‘Loktantra Ka Asli Mantra.’
The inaugural performance of this series was organised today at the Government Boys Higher Secondary School Bijbehara.
Crafted by the Padma awardee, Balwant Thakur and directed by Neeraj Kant, the play depicted diverse societal groups realizing the importance of their vote. It highlighted that each vote has the power to alter the nation’s destiny.
The performance culminated with a powerful chant ‘Let’s pledge to vote’.
This event marks the beginning of several Natrang theatre shows set to continue over the coming days in Anantnag, all aimed at inspiring the community to exercise their voting rights on May 25th.
