BANDIPORA, MAY 16: In preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections-2024 scheduled to be held in Bandipora district on 20th may 2024, the District Election Officer (DEO) Bandipora, Shakeel ul Rehman today handed-over Booth Level Officer (BLO) kits to the BLOs of 15-Bandipora Assembly Segment.
ADC Umar Shafi Pandit, Dy.DEO Mohammad Rafeeq and ACR/ARO 15-Bandipora Shabir Ahmad Wani were present on the occasion.
The BLO kits contain tools and resources crucial for ensuring the smooth conduct of elections at the grassroots level and necessary for accurate and efficient management of polling stations.
Speaking at the event, the DEO said that handing-over BLO kits are aimed to equip BLOs with all necessary resources well in advance, facilitating thorough preparation of the electoral process besides ensuring integrity and transparency.
He urged all stakeholders to actively engage in the democratic process, ensuring the fair and impartial conduct of elections in the district.
Shakeel ul Rehman lauded the pivotal role played by BLOs in ensuring the success and integrity of the electoral process. He highlighted the exemplary service of BLOs in facilitating the smooth conduct of elections at the grassroots level.
The DEO highlighted the critical responsibilities shouldered by BLOs, ranging from voter outreach and registration to the meticulous organization of polling stations.
In expressing gratitude for the exemplary service of BLOs, the DEO reaffirmed the support for BLOs and reiterated the importance of their continued dedication as the district prepares for the Lok Sabha Polls, 2024.
