Three Tier Security, Strict Surveillance in place to monitor Voting Machines
Scrutiny of Form-17A & other documents conducted after successful polling
SRINAGAR, MAY 14: After Polls ended successfully on May 13 in 02-Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency under 4th phase of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, all Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) used in 18 Assembly Segments in Constituency have been kept in designated Strong Rooms at SKICC- Centaur within three layer security.
The Returning Officer (RO), Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat sealed the Strong Rooms in presence of General Observer for Srinagar PC, Mukul Kumar under strict surveillance.
Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) of all 18 Assembly Segments, Deputy District Election Officer, Representatives of various political parties/Contesting Candidates and other concerned were also present on the occasion.
As per the directions of Election Commission of India (ECI), whole process was video recorded, besides CCTV cameras, each installed inside and outside of the strong rooms have been installed to monitor the movement at the place.
Earlier, Returning Officer, Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency in presence of General Observer, Mukul Kumar conducted scrutiny of the Form-17A and other documents after the polling successfully concluded in Srinagar Lok Sabha Seat.
