Tragedy: Boat Capsizes in Hatiwara Awantipora, 7 Rescued, 2 Missing

Srinagar, May 08 : A boat carrying nine non-locals capsized in Hatiwara area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday evening.

Reports reaching said that a boat capsized at Hatiwara, and nine non-locals were on board. However, seven persons were rescued.

They said that the rescue operation for the other two missing persons has been started, and teams of SDRF and police are on the job.

A police officer told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that efforts are ongoing to retrieve the other two missing persons. (KS)
