government has made all arrangements to convert the bunkers into polling booths,Principal Anwar Khan

Poonch:-While all the arrangements have been completed by the administration regarding the Lok Sabha elections, the government has come up with suggestions to conduct polling near the polling centers for the first time to deal with any emergency situation in the border areas. The bunkers have been kept ready to be put into use for voting .When in 2019 the Lok Sabha elections were held, there was firing by Pakistan in the border area of Poonch district during this time, due to which the polling was affected to a great extent. Keeping this fear in mind, the government had built bunkers near the schools in the border areas so that if ever there is firing by Pakistan in these areas, these bunkers can be used to save the lives of the school children. Now the government has made precautionary arrangements to set up polling centers in these bunkers to deal with any such situation in the Lok Sabha elections. Talking to our correspondent Principal Model Higher Sawjian Anwar Khan said that the government has made all arrangements to convert the bunkers into polling booths to deal with any situation from across the border , so that the polling process is not affected and the voting process can be completed safely without any interruption, he utilization of bunkers for polling in border areas during emergencies also serves as a symbol of resilience and determination in the face of adversity. By repurposing these structures for electoral purposes, authorities are sending a clear message that democratic processes will prevail even in challenging circumstances. This innovative approach not only reinforces the importance of upholding democratic norms but also showcases the government’s commitment to protecting the rights and freedoms of its citizens, regardless of external threats or challenges.

Overall, the decision to use bunkers for polling in border areas during emergencies represents a strategic response to security concerns and logistical challenges inherent in sensitive regions. By repurposing these structures as polling stations, authorities are not only ensuring the safety and security of voters but also reaffirming their commitment to upholding democratic principles under any circumstances. This innovative approach reflects a proactive stance towards addressing security threats and ensuring the smooth conduct of elections in border areas where stability is essential for democratic governance.
