SRINAGAR, MAY 05: The Returning Officer (RO) 02-Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency (PC), Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Sunday visited Strong rooms, Distribution and Collection centres established for the General Lok Sabha Elections-2024.

During the visit, the Returning Officer oversaw the commissioning of EVMs, and took a detailed assessment of arrangements put up for the safety, surveillance and security of Election-related material and machinery kept at these centres for the Lok Sabha elections in 02-Srinagar Parliamentary Elections.

While interacting with the concerned AROs and other staff at Strong Rooms established at SP College and SP Higher Secondary School, the Returning Officer instructed them to ensure all safety measures and adherence to the guidelines of the Election Commission of India in letter and spirit for the protection of election-related material and machinery at these centres.

The RO also stressed on proper handling and management of the EVMs and other Election related material, besides ensuring efficient and secure mechanisms for its storage.
