SRINAGAR, APRIL 27: Amid prevailing inclement weather conditions in the region, the Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal today reviewed the agriculture scenario in Kashmir division.

Addressing the officers of department through virtual mode, the Director reiterated Department’s commitment to work for the welfare and wellbeing of the farming community.

He directed the concerned officers to ensure that the farmers following the advisories recently issued by the Department to manage different agriculture activities amid the prevailing weather scenario.

He asked the officers to visit farmers and work in a coordinated manner to address the issues and demands raised by the farming community.

Director Agriculture was also briefed by respective Chief Agriculture Officers, through virtual mode, about the agriculture scenario in their respective Districts and the interventions carried out by the Department.

It was informed that some short term and long term initiatives have been taken by the Department so that interests of the farmers are safeguarded.
