Ramban, April 21: Intensifying its drive against the sale of illicit liquor, launched on the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Ramban Sh. Anuj Kumar-IPS, the police have arrested two Bootleggers and recovered 70 bottles of illicit alcohol, each bottle measuring 750 milliliters, from their possessions in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramban.

 

The arrested accused persons have been identified as Mohd Yousaf, son of Mohd Hussain Sheikh, and Mukhtar Ahmed, son of Abdul Gani Malik, both residents of Alchiward Arhama Hiller Tehsil Kokernag, District Anantnag.

 

A police party of Police Station Ramban, comprising SHO PS Ramban under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Ramban and Additional SP Ramban, while on Naka duty at Naka Shan Palace, Ramban, arrested two bootleggers who were illegally selling liquor and recovered 70 bottles of illicit liquor from their possession.

 

An FIR No. 85/2024, pursuant to Section 48(a) of the Excise Act, has been registered at Police Station Ramban, and investigation entrusted to PSI Shiv Dutt.
