Takes stock of expenditure monitoring, other election preparedness; stresses for proper vigil on Social media
SHOPIAN, APRIL 20: Election Expenditure Observer (EO) for 2-Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency, Sambit Mishra today visited Shopian and chaired a review meeting with Nodal officers on expenditure monitoring and other Election preparedness pertaining to Shopian Assembly Constituency.
At the outset, District Election Officer (DEO) Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb briefed the Expenditure Observer about functioning of expenditure monitoring teams viz Flying Squads, Static Surveillance Teams, District Election Control Room, District Election Management Plan, SVEEP activities, security, and other related election issues.
He informed that teams on the ground are working round the clock to keep check on expenditure monitoring of all political parties and candidates of the Constituency. He said all logistical, material, security, manpower and other arrangements are in place for smooth conduct of elections in a free and fair manner.
Nodal Officer, Expenditure Monitoring, Shopian and Pulwama also briefed about the expenditure monitoring system in place and position of expenditure booking party wise.
Expenditure Observer, on the occasion emphasized for sensitizing all political parties on expenditure related maintenance of records and also instructed for keeping track of social media, paid news, and proper maintenance of accounts of contesting candidates.
Later, the Observer visited the Strong room, Shopian and Pink Polling station.
The meeting was attended by SSP, Tanushree; ADDC, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone; ADC, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz; AROs, Nodal Officers of district Shopian and Pulwama.
