Srinagar, April 16 : In a tragedy, six persons have been declared dead as the boat capsized in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Tuesday morning.
A top police officer told that a boat drowned along with some people who were crossing the river Jehlum from Gandbal to Batwara in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.
However, with the swift action of river police, all were rescued and were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital.
Meanwhile, a informed that six them were declared dead on arrival.
A Top police officer told that a case in this regard has been registered and further investigation has been initiated. (KS)
