Reports flooding in from Karanah depict residential areas submerged under water, with structural integrity compromised due to land subsidence.
In Tangdhar, numerous households are grappling with water ingress, while in Kandi Karnah, the crumbling walls of properties owned by individuals like Waqar Ahmed Khan and Sajjad Ahmed Khan pose imminent threats to occupants. Thankfully, swift action by locals facilitated the safe relocation of Waqar Ahmed Khan and his family to secure locations last night.
However, the lack of preventive measures during the construction of Jada Road has exacerbated the crisis, with water seepage and debris accumulation placing properties, such as those belonging to Adil Sayeed and renowned journalist Ashfaq Sayeed, at grave risk in Kandi Mohallah.
Villages like Gabra Tad, Tetwal, Ghondi, Gajran, and Ghondi Shot have also witnessed stone and debris showers, exacerbating the predicament.
