KUPWARA, APRIL 15: Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Kashmir, Syed Shahnawaz Bukhari today visited Kupwara district during which he chaired a meeting of transporters and other stakeholders at ADC Office Handwara.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Handwara, Aziz Ahmad Rather, ARTO Kupwara, Bilal ahmad Mir, Tehsildar, SDPO, besides, Presidents of all Transport Associations of district Kupwara attended the meeting.

On the occasion, the RTO impressed upon the concerned officers to ensure that the complaints of the public are resolved in a time bound manner and the Government policy is followed in letter and spirit. He asked them to work for the convenience of the general public and address their issues in the most hassle-free manner.

Meanwhile, various issues pertaining to Bus Stands, Permits, welfare of drivers which were raised by the transporters were discussed in detail. The RTO assured the transporters for resolving their genuine demands in a time bound manner.
