Karnah Kupwara On April 13, 2024, a distressing incident unfolded in the village of Jada, as a pack of stray dogs viciously attacked the herd of Mushtaq Ahmad Bajard, son of Nizam ud Din Bajard, a resident of the area. Mushtaq Ahmad, a shepherd by profession, solely relies on his flock to provide for his family’s livelihood. However, the brutal attack resulted in the death of 10 sheep, with several others sustaining severe injuries.

Mushtaq Ahmad, a poor man struggling to make ends meet, now finds himself burdened with the loss of his valuable livestock. With his primary source of income devastated, he faces an uncertain future in providing for his family’s basic needs.

In light of this tragic event, the local administration of Karnah is urged to intervene promptly. A request has been made to direct the concerned department to conduct a thorough inspection of the area and extend assistance to Mushtaq Ahmad Bajard. Moreover, it is imperative for the administration to provide compensation to alleviate the financial strain on the shepherd and enable him to meet the needs of his family during this challenging time.

Such support from the authorities is not only essential for the welfare of Mushtaq Ahmad Bajard and his family but also serves as a demonstration of the government’s commitment to safeguarding the livelihoods of its citizens, particularly those vulnerable to such unforeseen calamities.

As the community rallies behind Mushtaq Ahmad Bajard in solidarity, it is hoped that swift action will be taken to address his plight and ensure that he receives the necessary support and assistance to rebuild his life and livelihood.
