Lok Sabha Elections-2024
Proactive awareness campaign under SVEEP held across Ramban district

RAMBAN, APRIL 07: On the direction of District Election Officer, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, a proactive awareness campaign under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative unfolded across the district, aimed at fostering increased engagement of women voters in electoral process.
Led by Nodal Officer for Women Awareness and Welfare (AC-55 Banihal), Shailni Chandel, along with the collaboration of CDPO Ramban, Ravinder Kour, a dedicated camp was organized at Government Model Higher Secondary School, Gool. The event strategically targeted new women voters, emphasizing their pivotal role in shaping democratic outcomes.
Themed “Every Vote Matters,” the campaign underscored the importance of active participation in elections, particularly among women. Through a series of educational sessions and community engagement activities, participants were encouraged to exercise their voting rights, fostering a culture of inclusivity and democratic empowerment.
Speaking at the event, the Nodal Officer reiterated the SVEEP team’s unwavering commitment of ensuring active involvement of every segment of society in the electoral process. Such initiatives not only strengthen the democratic fabric of the nation but also cultivate a sense of civic responsibility and active citizenship among citizens.
