Srinagar, March 31st, 2024 – On the directions of Commissioner SMC Dr.Owais Ahmed (IAS) Srinagar Municipal Corporation conducted a highly effective cleanliness drive in Zone South Ward No. 31 as part of the ongoing “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” campaign. Led by the Chief Sanitation Officer,Zonal Sanitation Officer and other SMC officials, the initiative aimed to enhance cleanliness standards and promote hygiene at Mehjoor Nagar Padshahi Bagh Bund.
This drive focused on improving the overall cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of the designated area through activities such as efficient waste collection and disposal, as well as clearing unwanted vegetation and grass. By engaging the community in these efforts, the SMC seeks to foster a sense of civic responsibility among residents and encourage the adoption of sustainable and hygienic practices, ultimately working towards a cleaner and healthier environment for all.
