Doda, Mar 19: In a major success, cyber crime investigation Unit Doda has recovered online defrauded money more than three lacs in two separate complaints.
Giving details Doda Police said that on 13.02.2024 a complaint was received by CCIU Doda through online from complainant Ajay Singh S/O Dhananter Singh R/O Ward No. 07 Tondwah Doda about an online defrauded amount of Rs, 85,000/-.
Similarly, another complaint was received by the CCIU Doda through off line mode on 04.03.2024 from complaint Sehdev Singh R/O Hatli District Kathua A/P Doda involving huge online defrauded amount of Rs, 2,15,220/- .
During the course of investigation, the cyber investigation team led by PSI Ankush Nagra I/C Cyber Crime Investigation Unit Doda exhibited professional skill, high sense of responsibility and the cyber investigation team after hectic efforts successfully recovered the defrauded amount of Rs, 3,00,220/- in both the complaints.
SSP Doda Shri Javaid Iqbal –JKPS has again appealed the general public to be extra cautious and remain vigilant and don’t respond to unknown callers, fraudsters and report promptly to Police for taking all necessary measures well in time to track down the online cheaters/fraudsters.
Pertinent to mention here that earlier too in two separate complaints, Cyber Crime Investigation Unit Doda has recovered online defrauded amount Rs, 1,09,500/- and the efforts being made by the team of cyber investigation unit Doda led by PSI Ankush Nagra is doing commendable job.
