Udhampur 19 March :- Today, DPAP candidate from Kathua Udhampur Doda parliamentary constituency GM Saruri was given a grand welcome by party workers in Udhampur. Party general secretary RS Chib, provincial president Jugal Kishore Sharma, minority cell president Kirtan Singh were also welcomed along with him. District President Ashwani Khajuria said that GM Saroori has been nominated by Ghulam Nabi Azad from Kathua Udhampur Doda parliamentary constituency, who has been a three-time MLA and two-time cabinet minister in Jammu and Kashmir and is a Karmath worker. He is connected with the people and during his tenure, he worked for the poor at the grassroots level. Ashwani Khajuria said that by electing GM Saroori this time, we have to raise our voice in the Parliament because the previous governments have always neglected Udhampur. He also said that even today the people of Jammu and Kashmir have not forgotten the works of Ghulam Nabi Azad, which he did during his two and a half years tenure as Chief Minister of J&K Ashwani Khajuria said that whether it is road construction work, education, tourism, health, employment, development has taken place everywhere. Before the tenure of Ghulam Nabi Azad, 4 percent work had been done but during his two and a half year tenure, 50 percent work was done and if he had completed his tenure, perhaps the development work would have reached 90 percent. On this occasion, DPAP candidate from Kathua Udhampur Doda parliamentary constituency GM Saroori said that I won three times because I am a grassroots worker. I have become MLA three times and Cabinet Minister twice due to the people. People have elected me again and again because I am completely dedicated to the people. Saroori said that in the last 10 years, people of every class have been harassed, whether they are daily wagers of PHE, Anganwadi helper workers, Asha workers, cooks of government schools. The problem of unemployment has increased, there are no jobs. The condition of schools is bad. People’s lands were snatched and they were made homeless. The AIIMS that were built were also projects of Ghulam Nabi Azad’s time. GM Saroori said that if he wins, he will raise the voice of all those in the Parliament who are troubled today by the false promises of BJP because they say something and do something else. To raise the voice of Udhampur, people’s support is needed and now every person has to vote wisely because now the vote has to be given for work and not for lies.
On the occasion, senior leader Brij Mohan Sharma thanked all the people who had come and said that this time support DPAP candidate GM Saroori only for the work that Ghulam Nabi Azad has left incomplete.
Priti Khajuria, senior leader Sanjeev Dubey, Shriraj, district working president Neeraj Thappa and Sanjeev Jandayal, youth district president Sachin Magotra, city president Saksham Seth, Pawan Kumar, Sardar Tej Bahadur, Rosy Begum, Kanchan, Shilpa Sharma, Shakti Devi were present on the occasion.
