JAMMU, MARCH 17: In view of the ensuing Lok Sabha elections 2024, District Election Officer, Sachin Kumar Vaishya has issued a circular detailing the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct to maintain the sanctity of the electoral process. The circular, directed to all district officers and officials, outlines essential measures to ensure a level playing field for all political entities.

The circular mandates non-partisanship among government officials, prohibits the use of government resources for electioneering and details the permissible use of government facilities. It emphasizes the importance of impartiality in government conduct, especially concerning the display of political figures’ photographs and messages in government buildings and on official websites.
