DGP J&K extends warm greeting on the eve of Women’ Day

Jammu, 07 March: On the eve of International Women’s Day being celebrated on 8th of March, the Director General of Police, J&K, Shri R.R Swain has extended warm greetings to all women in J&K.

Recognizing the invaluable contributions of women in every sphere of life, the DGP J&K in his message said that the women symbolise a sublime combination of strength and care, patience and perseverance and a balance of things essential for the communities to strive.

DGP, J&K also acknowledges the dedication of women in law enforcement and their role in ensuring safety and social justice for all. He registered his deep appreciation for the unwavering commitment and dedication of JK women police officers and personnel. Their exemplary service in undertaking multiple duties ranging from regulating traffic, managing police stations, executing police security plans and complex in investigations has made the J&K police better and more efficient.

J&K police supported by its women officers is determined to create an enabling environment of peace, safety and security to the daughters of the society to read, learn , play, work, compete and innovate which is brend to increase the GDP of the state at least by 1/3rd of what it is today within 5-7 years.
