Police organizes 05-day crash course on New Criminal Laws in Budgam

February 24:“`Police in Budgam have organized a five day Crash Course on ‘New Criminal Laws’ at the Recreation hall DPL Budgam for officer/officials of District Police Budgam.

The inaugural lecture of the programme was given by Addl. SP Budgam Shri Ragav S-IPS who vividly captured the essence of the laws and gave a comparative analysis of the old laws and the new laws. Senior Prosecuting Officer Budgam also gave a lecture on ‘Reforms in definitions’ during the course of the programme. Other officers who gave lectures include SHO PS Budgam and IC PP Soibugh.

During the session, Addl. SP Budgam emphasised on the understanding of the theme behind the New Criminal Laws with a view on the significant Changes. Sr.PO gave a lecture on attempt, abetment and conspiracy. The highlight of the lecture was that the Participants were involved in interactive discussions enhancing the practical knowledge of the new laws.

This initiative underscores the commitment of Budgam Police to provide comprehensive and relevant training to its personnel, ensuring they remain at the forefront of law enforcement.“`
