Hajin, 22 Feb:The NSS Unit of the Government Degree College Hajin organized a Placard Rally on (SVEEP) Systematic Voter’s Education & Electoral Participation, from the college campus to main Market Hajin on Thursday .

The Rally was flagged off by the principal of the College, Professor (Dr.) Peer Zahoor Ahmad. In his inaugural speech, the revered Principal deliberated upon the importance of such awareness rallies for sensitising the general public about their participation in election process of our country, which Indeed is the largest Democracy of the World.

He reiterated to provide every kind of support to NSS programme Officer, Dr. Abdul Qayoom Mir, staff council , students, NSS Volunteers and all the other stakeholders for conducting such important programmes in the College in near future for bringing a positive and result oriented change in the society.

He also advised the students to act as ambassadors of the institution for making our people aware about the benefits of getting registered with the Electoral Rolls.
Dr. Mehraj Hajini, HOD Political Science, Dr. Falak Fayrooz, HOD Urdu, Prof. Nahida Naseem, HOD Education, Prof. Javeed Ahmad Raina HOD English and all the Non-Teaching Employees also participated in this Awareness Rally.
This fresh initiative of the College was highly appreciated by the local Residents and Civil Society Activists of the area.
