February 15:“`Police have seized an illicit timber at Adipora area of Sopore.

On a specific information, a Police party of PS Sopore headed by SHO PS Sopore under the supervision of SDPO Sopore raided the house of Ghulam Hassan Malik son of Sona ullah Malik resident of Adipora Sopore.

During search, police party was able to recover 45 Planks apprx. 23 square feet of illicit timber from the said house.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 32 under relevant section of law has been registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation has been initiated.

Police would like to earnestly appeal to general public to collaborate with law enforcement in the battle against crimes. If anybody have any information regarding social evils, or any other criminal activities witnessed anywhere, kindly contact nearest police station or simply dial 112.“`
