In acknowledgment of candidates who successfully completed the 6-month course under the Community Development through Polytechnics (CDTP) scheme, a Certificate Award Ceremony took place at the Conference Hall, Dak Bungalow, Sumbal Bandipora on February 15, 2022.
Er. Mohammad Shafi Bhat, Principal GWPS, anD SHO Sumbal extended their congratulations and presented certificates to the accomplished candidates.
Under the auspices of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE)-sponsored scheme, Community Development through Polytechnics (CDTP), Government Polytechnic for Women Srinagar had established 11 extension centers in various underprivileged villages across Districts Bandipora, Baramulla, and Budgam. These centers have provided training to 330 candidates in diverse courses such as Computer Basics, Tailoring, Tally, and Electrician. The curriculum adheres to the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF), ensuring job-oriented courses, and has empowered numerous candidates to initiate their ventures or secure employment, as stated by Mr. Sheikh Sajad Ahmad, Internal Coordinator CDTP.
During the program, Er. Mohammad Shafi Bhat, Principal, GWPS, emphasized the pivotal role of skill-based knowledge imparted at GWPS. He provided a comprehensive insight into the admission process for three-year diploma courses for the session 2024-25 and illuminated the promising future prospects of the conducted courses.
Amidst the certificate distribution, candidates expressed their joy, underscoring the pressing need for additional centers in remote and underprivileged villages to provide support to deprived individuals in these areas
