SHOPIAN, FEBRUARY 13: Social Welfare Department (SWD) Shopian today conducted a one day training cum awareness programme under National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR) at Govt. Degree College Zainpora.
Officials from Health, ICDS, Police, Numberdars, members of youth club were imparted training on various aspects related to the action plan and the role of different departments in combating and tackling the menace of drug abuse.
The chief guest, Sub-divisional Magistrate (SDM) Zainpora, Mushtaq Ahmed Lone addressed the role of Civil Society and Administration in dealing with drug related issues and the need of such programmes in sub- division which is worst-hit.
The programme was attended by SDPO Zainpora, Sunil Kumar; TSWO, Farhana Tak; Central Administrator OSC, Sumaira Gulzar; Women Welfare Officer, Burooj-ul-Islam and other officials of the Social Welfare department.
