Victim of Uri Road Accident Succumbs

Uri, Feb 22 : A man who was one of four people injured in a road accident on Saturday in north Kashmir’s Uri has passed away this morning.

An official informed that one of the injured individual from Uri has succumbed to his injuries after being hospitalized for two days.

The deceased has been identified as Abdul Majeed Baloot, son of Summa Baloot of Gharkote.

The official mentioned that Abdul Majeed Baloot was in the ICU for the past two days but unfortunately, he passed away earlier today.

The accident occurred at Gharkote when a Tata Sumo with registration number JK05 H 6384 crashed after the driver lost control of the vehicle.

In the accident, four individuals were injured and all of them were subsequently transferred to GMC Baramulla for advanced medical care.

This incident marks the second road mishap in Uri following a devastating accident last week that resulted in the loss of ten lives. (KS)
