ST status was a long-pending demand of the pahari community . The pahari community had been struggling for the ST status from almost four decades, but the community was deprived of the ST status until now. Karnah is the epicenter of this movement .It was done by our elders, most of them have now passed away , but later the paharis of other areas also joined in this struggle and this historical movement got momentum.
The Pahari ethnic group of Karnah, civil society Karnah and other associations on this historic occasion on the successful pass of the Jammu and Kashmir Scheduled Tribes Order (Amendment) Bill 2024 in the Rajya Sabha, have thanked the central government, especially the Prime Minister Narendra Modi,home Minister Amit Shah ji , state president Ravinder Raina ji and Ashok Kol ji and said that the BJP government has done what no other political party has been able to do so far.
The respected members of Pahari ethnic Group, Civil Society Karnah, Youth Welfare Association Karnah,Biopaar mandal karnah Abdul Hameed former SDM,Abdul Wahid qureshi ,Qazi abdul hameed qureshi Rasheed Qureshi, Adovocate Mehboob Elahi Qureshi, Shabir Ahmed Geelani, Pirzada SD Qureshi, Abdul Rahim Mir, Haider Nadeem, Joginder Singh, Asif Mir, Rasheed Bhat,waliu Rehman , Ghulam Mustafa Magrey, Raja Abdul Hameed, Raja Abdul Majeed, Abdul Ghazi, Haji Taslim Mir, Daniyal Mir, Raja Waqar Javed, Yasir Chak, Jafar Shah, Ubaid Ayub, Muhammad Ijaz, Zahoor Lone, Raja Khushal have Appreciated this step and said that BJP has done justice to the paharis and this community will also do justice to BJP.
Further youth added that they will support the bjp in upcoming elections .
