Addressing a press conference and Public Meeting here in Karnah on Thrusday, the Kupwara District President of the Association, Sajawal Shah highlighted a series of longstanding grievances faced by the Ex-Central Paramilitary Forces.

The association’s Kupwara District President , Sajawal Shah, projected various demands which include disparities in treatment compared to Defense Forces, particularly concerning pension schemes and post-retirement benefits.
They emphasized that Paramilitary Forces exhibit the same level of dedication, valour, and patriotism as Defense Forces, however,
they are not receiving similar benefits and post-retirement privileges, which is against natural justice.
They urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to revise the pension scheme for Paramilitary Forces, citing examples of disparity between Defense and Paramilitary Forces pensions.

They highlighted the approval by the Cabinet Committee on Security to extend suitable benefits to Paramilitary Forces personnel, akin to those provided to Ex-Servicemen of
Defense Forces by state and
UT governments.

They also urged for the timely implementation of the 7th Pay Commission recommendations and payment of pending DA arrears, warning of boycott to vote BJP in coming elections if demands are not met.
They expressed gratitude to the Finance Minister for ongoing efforts and appealed for fair treatment in the upcoming budget, particularly requesting a 50% GST concession for Paramilitary Forces. The association stands united in its commitment to advocating for the rights and welfare of Paramilitary Forces personnel.

Others present in the press conference and the Public Meeting include Naseer Ahmed Rana, Naseer Ahmed, Ali Akbar Shah, Ghulam Nabi Shah, Mehboob Shah, Ali Gohar, Mohammad Anees, Mohammad Yousaf Parry, Maqsood Ahmed Parray, Mushtaq Ahmed Sheikh, Riyaz Ahmed Lone, Mohammad Aslam Meer and all the other Ex-ParaMilitary Retired personnel of Tehsil Karnah.
