ARTO, Anantnag visits Khiram Dargah, reviews transport facilities to devotees

ANANTNAG, FEBRUARY 08: In connection with the observance of the Meraj-un-Nabi (SAW), Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Anantnag, Dr Mohammad Zubair Lattoo undertook a visit to Khiram Dargah to take onsite review of the transport arrangements for the devotees.

On the occasion, he directed transporters to provide better transport facility to the devotees during the auspicious days of Meraj-un-Nabi (SAW) and Friday following.

He also presided over an awareness programme regarding Road Safety organised by the transporters. The programme was attended by a large number of commercial drivers and civil society members.

In his speech ARTO emphasized the importance of following traffic rules and regulations and advocated to adhere to speed limits besides asked them to desist from overloading of passengers.

He further said that precious lives are lost in road accidents and emphasized on the need of collective efforts to minimise the fatalities.
