DEO presides over the training session

KULGAM, JANUARY 30: The District Election Office Kulgam today conducted a day-long training session for Nodal Officers, Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates, and allied staff for forthcoming general election to Lok Sabha 2024 at the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat Kulgam.

The training session was presided over by the District Election Officer (DEO) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan.

Addressing the participants, DEO apprised the officers about their role and urged them to adhere to the rules and regulations of the ECI for ensuring free, fair and transparent elections process.

During the training programme, the District Level Master Trainers presented detailed information regarding the preparation and conduct of the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.

All were apprised about their role in election process like election management, nomination process, scrutiny of nomination papers, and procedure for withdrawal of candidature, EVM (Electronic Voting Machine) management, Manpower management, Transport plan, Poll Day arrangements and Counting of votes and adhering to the provisions of the Model Code of Conduct.

On the occasion, a question answer session was also held during which participants raised several queries.

ADDC, Showkat Ahmad Rather; ADC, Viqar Ahmad Giri; DPO ICDS, A R Das; ACR, Imtiaz Ul Aziz; SDM Noorabad, Bashir ul Hassan; Dy-DEO, Bilal Kamgar and other Nodal officers were present during the session.
