VBSY: Zubair Visits Bandipora, Pushes for 100% saturation of beneficiary schemes, Listens to public grievances

Bandipora, January 15: As part of ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), Commissioner Secretary, Department of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), Zubair Ahmad on monday,as a part of this outreach program took a comprensive review to assess the progress and ensure 100% saturation of various beneficiary-oriented schemes across different departments in the district.

The District Development Council Chairperson, Ab Gani Bhat, Vice Chairperson Kowsar Shafeeq, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Shakeel Ur Rehman, DDC members, ADDC Bandipora, ADC Bandipora, a large gathering of people besides other senior officers were present on the occasion.

Representatives from various departments including J&K Bank, Employment Department, KVIB, DIC, NRLM, Social Welfare Department, Agriculture department, and Health Department were present to present updates and address any existing roadblocks.

The Commissioner Secretary said that the Yatra aims to bring together government officials, local leaders, and communities to ensure outreach and last mile delivery of govt schemes to all the people.

He emphasised the importance of ensuring that all eligible beneficiaries in Bandipora are covered under relevant schemes for their socio-economic development.

Each department showcased the current status of their respective beneficiary schemes, including disbursement figures, awareness initiatives, and challenges faced. The Commissioner Secretary reviewed the data and provided specific directions to improve implementation and address any lagging areas.

The J&K Bank officials were advised to step up their efforts in achieving 100% financial inclusion within the district. This includes setting up self-employment assistance counters in every panchayat and actively promoting various financial schemes for the benefit of the populace.

The Employment Department was urged to connect job seekers with suitable work opportunities. The Commissioner Secretary also emphasised the need to facilitate and promote self-employment initiatives through KVIB and DIC.

The Social Welfare Department received directives to expedite the issuance of disability cards under UDISE in coordination with the Health Department. Additionally, the Commissioner Secretary stressed the importance of ensuring proper coverage of healthcare schemes like Ayushman Bharat for vulnerable communities.

The National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) was instructed to establish and organise regular Common Service Centers (CSC) camps in every panchayat to improve access to online services and government schemes.

The Commissioner Secretary stressed on achieving 100% saturation of all beneficiary-oriented schemes within Bandipora. He urged all departments and officials to work diligently and collaboratively to ensure that no one is left behind in the journey towards progress and prosperity.

Various delegations present on the occasion raised different demands and grievances related to their respective areas. While responding to the demands/grievances, the commissioner secretary directed the concerned departments to examine these demands . He further directed the departments to redress these grievances wherever found genuine.

Earlier, the Commissioner Secretary along with DC Bandipora Shakeel Ul rehman also inspected various stalls installed by different departments. He also handed over sanction letters to various beneficiaries pertaining to welfare and income generation schemes.
